Just stumble, the cross this fishing charter boat. What a surprise we had!! If you want a true fishing experience, come join Captain Dale and his deckhand Chris! Not only did my husband score a catch, it was a 512 pound marlin! Won’t disappoint.

We had a great day on the water with Dale and Dean. I didn’t book the fishing portion of our trip until we were actually on the island. I was able to make a few calls and get a referral to get hooked up (pun intended) with Dale and his vessel Sea Strike. I’ve heard from friends and family that it is a high risk (monetarily), high reward venture to do this type of fishing. We unknowingly booked during a Marlin tournament and Dale suggested we get out of the harbor before 6am to beat the the tourney boats out of the harbor. We seemed to be the first vessel onto the fishing grounds. Dean was very knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions myself and my 74 year old mother had about off shore fishing. From the radio chatter, it seemed to be a tough morning of fishing for most boats including the tournament boats. We ended up doing a lot of fishing, but unfortunately no catching on this day. I’ve done a variety of fishing across the mainland and have been skunked fishing many times fishing for typically more easily caught fish. In any type of fishing (in my experience), you are never guaranteed to catch fish, but with Sea Strike you are guaranteed to have a good time (in my opinion). Thanks Dale and Dean! I’ll look you up next time I’m on the Big Island.

I have deep sea fished several spots around North America and I would definitely rate this as the best experience! Deep water close by means much more “fishing” time. Very experienced captain and first mate. The conditions were not idea but they worked the water and gave excellent directions working the tackle. He controlled the boat as an extension of himself. And we landed a very nice strong heathy Blue Marlin.. I could not recommend this boat and crew highly enough. Wish I could go again My son’s first deep sea catch! Passing the torch to next generation! Well done!

This was my 2nd trip with Captain Dale on the Sea Strike in Kona. In 2004 I caught a 349LB Marlin and this last week - 19 yrs later, Jan 2024 - my wife caught a 100lb Marlin. We had 3 fish on but 2 got away, very exciting! Dale knows his stuff and you should not hesitate to book him for your next trophy marlin quest in Kona. Thanks so much Dale for another amazing 4 hours on the ocean!

Another bucket list adventure checked off fishing off Kona. Captain Jack and Chris of the Sea Strike delivered. My bud Brent brought in a 300lb blue. Great coaching by Chris and Jack is a skipper beyond his years. These guys can fish! We will be back. Mahalo

My wife and I went out with Dale and Scott for a half day. We had a couple bites that didn’t hook up, but eventually hooked up with a 60” short billed spearfish that my wife caught. These guys were great and made sure we were comfortable on the boat. Would love to go out with this crew again someday!

Dale was more than accommodating with my unusual schedule...fantastic guy and great captain! I will definitely be calling Dale to set up another trip the next time I travel to Kona!

Absolutely wonderful!! While fishing the guys filled the group in on things to do and places to go to. Some of the history of Kona and animals that we might see. We unfortunately didn’t catch anything but we all had a great time!! If I ever make it back here you can bet I’ll stop by again.

Had a fantastic time fishing with Jack and Sawyer on the Sea Strike! Captain Jack expertly put us on a big 550 pound blue marlin and Saywer helped guide me to bring it in boatside.
